Ukrainian Catholic Delegation Participates in Catholic Movements Congress in Poland
Warsaw — A Ukrainian Greek Catholic delegation participated in the Third Polish Congress of Catholic Movements and Societies, held in Poland's capital, Warsaw, on 11 and 12 June 2005 . The participants of the congress stressed that the lay movement in Poland has achieved "ecclesiastic maturity" and is now serving the Polish church and society.
The Ukrainian delegation shared their experience about lay movements in Ukraine , in particular about the role of the family in preserving Christian values and the contribution of Ukrainian laity towards a united Christian Europe.
The congress, which allowed Christians from all over the world to participate online, is planned to continue until 2007 in the form of thematic discussions on various social and religious issues.
